TRASH CAN TRANSFORMATION

Join us in family fun for all ages as we transform 30 trash cans into works of Art.

This FREE event will be held on September 30, 2023 at Getzendaner Memorial Park in Waxahachie.

  • All ages and skill levels are welcome.

  • Both individuals and groups/organizations can reserve and paint a trash can.

  • Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.

Details for Trash Can Transformation:  

WHAT:  Paint a trash can!  Paint and paint supplies will be provided for the artists.

WHEN:  Saturday, September 30, 9:00 PM - 3:00 PM.

WHERE:  Getzendaner Memorial Park in Waxahachie, TX. 

WHO CAN PAINT: Anyone!  All ages and skill levels are welcome. Individuals or groups.

HOW TO PAINT A TRASH CAN:
1 – RESERVE one unpainted trash can by contacting us by email at
info@WaxahachieChautauqua.org.   Please include:
* Contact name
* Group or club name, if relevant
* Artist names(s)
* Email address/Phone number
* Approximate arrival time - 9:00 AM, 10:00 AM, etc.
(If you are under 10 years old, tell us your adult’s contact information.)

2 – SHOW UP on Saturday, September 30 ready to paint.
Paint and painting supplies are available 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM.
3 – PAINT!    

A FEW RULES:
1 - You may bring your own paint & supplies or use those provided at the park.
2 – No spray paint is allowed in the painting area.
3 – Art must be family-friendly and can not include advertising.  
4 - Artists under 10 must be accompanied by an adult while they are painting.

WHAT HAPPENS TO YOUR PAINTED TRASH CAN?  
All painted trash cans will end up beautifying one of Waxahachie’s parks!
